Description

 This delicious protein hot chocolate with collagen recipe consists of two ingredients, takes only three to four minutes to prepare, and offers 32 grams of protein per serving!

OPTIONAL FESTIVE TOPPINGS 

  • whipped cream
  • marshmallows
  • candy canes and/or crushed candy cane pieces
  • sprinkles (red, green, colorful, shimmery)
  • grated chocolate bar

Instructions

1. Add the milk and collagen to a small-medium sized sauce pan, depending on how many cups you’re making.
2 ingredient protein hot chocolate ingredients (vital proteins collagen and milk) in a saucepan.
2. Whisk the ingredients over medium-high heat until fully combined and hot.

3. At this time (especially if it’s the holiday season) you can top the hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallows, candy canes and/or crushed candy cane pieces, etc. You can also drink the hot chocolate by itself. Enjoy!!!

Notes

  • What milk to use? I use whole cow’s milk because it tastes the best to me, and it adds 12 grams of protein to this recipe. You can use your favorite plant-based milk as well, although options such as almond milk, oat milk, and coconut milk significantly decrease the protein content. If you want a high-protein plant-based option, I would give pea milk or soy milk a try!
